No, you don’t need any prior horse experience at all. This is not horse riding or training sessions.
Yes, prior to your session we will email you an “Agreement to Participate” form. This form will gather more information about you so we can tailor sessions focusing on your needs or the group’s needs. Please read it carefully if you have any question about anything on the form, please contact us to discuss. Email a signed copy back to us prior to your session.
Most sessions are observing the horses in their paddock or interacting with them which may include brushing or leading them.
Some sessions may involve a “mounted experience” this is not horse “riding” but more sitting on the horse in walk whilst being led.
You must wear closed toe flat shoes and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. In the warmer months please bring a hat. In the winter bring a raincoat.
Most sessions will be held outside, so if it is raining, we do have sheltered areas where we can still proceed. In extreme weather conditions if the session needs to be rescheduled you will be notified 24hrs prior.
No. As this is an opportunity to be out in nature with the animals in a quiet space, we ask for a phone free zone while sessions are taking place.
No. We ask for no photos of our animals or the property to be taken. If you would like photos, please speak with Annie to discuss options.
